This project, is of a new Custom Barndominium on the side of a pond. We begin by highlighting the beautiful scenery from the front.
In addition to the beautiful views of the pond is a spacious open floor plan for the living area through the kitchen.
This new Huntsville Barndominium Home is impressive with all the natural light to brighten everyone’s day.

The kitchen is always a central point of any home. And this new Barndominium was built for appeal and functionality.
A spacious, all-in-one sleeping space created for the entire family. The custom bunk beds create such an unique multi-bed family bedroom built for togetherness.
We built an artfully designed bathroom that makes great use of the space.
No room was missed, including this spacious laundry room with easy access as a mudroom entry too.
At Turnkey, we love building and it was exciting to add a new shop with these two large exterior doors.
It is easy to see the owner enjoying being on the front porch entering their new Barndominium, Built by Turnkey.
Here are some of the highlights during the build of this new Barndominium. Once the permanent electrical utility is built, the electricians connect the home with an underground conduit to pull the service wire into the main disconnect and panel to power the home.
After spray foam, drywall sheets are installed on the stud walls and the drywall contractors begin to tape, float, sand and texture. Before starting to paint, the painters stain and seal all of the wood work. The finish provides protection just in case the paint is over-sprayed or dripped on the wood work. The painters also cover all of the wood work with paper or plastic protection once the finish has cured, just for extra measure.
Like the living room, before starting to paint, the painters stain and seal all of the wood work with the same processes as above. Then the painters completed the stain work and made sure all the wood work is protected prior to spraying enamel on all the cabinetry.
Now that paint and countertops are complete, the tile is ready to install for the kitchen backsplash. Once painting, countertops, and backsplash are complete, the final phase starts with electrical and mechanical trim out. We then started hanging light fixtures and completing plugs, switches, etc., before the flooring contractors get started.
At the shop we show the spray foam insulation that drastically brings down the heat load in a working shop. Once this is sprayed, electrical trim and overhead doors can be installed.
Barndominiums have various types of exposed truss and porch columns we can use. This homeowner has opted for a low maintenance long lasting metal square tubing design that can be color matched by the painter using an exterior enamel. The stonework was one of the last items to be completed on the exterior of the barndominium.
